ESG/CSR Overview

Our efforts focus on achieving substantial goals in environmental, social, and governance areas, aligned with global and local initiatives.

Overview

Our operation consists of our determinations and tangible goals that target the environmental, social and governance (ESG) topics that are most substantial to our business and to wider society. We are always striving to achieve these, we are taking actions and delivering results towards our ESG milestones.

We strive to align Komari’s ESG plan to global initiatives such as UN sustainable development goals (SDG), as well as regional and national environmental and social initiatives. Komari’s ESG philosophy is anchored in five major pillars, and embedded into our overall corporate strategy.
Thus, in pursuit of our targets, we are working to manage our most material business impacts responsibly, while taking actions that contribute positively to society. We will achieve our targets in collaboration with our suppliers, customers, consumers and the communities where we operate.

Don’t drink and drive

Komari is proud that, through our products, we are able to offer a feeling of enjoyment and celebration to everyday life. We are also firmly committed to encouraging the responsible drinking of our alcoholic drinks; because we comprehend that inappropriate consumption can create various concerns for individuals, families and society.

On the production and sales process of alcohol beverages, we are delighted to play a part in creating a comfortable lifestyle for people around our planet and beyond.

How we run our business

Code of conduct
Four guiding principles

The Komari community has four guiding principles to govern our conduct from these four principles.
Uphold dignity

treat people with fairness and respect; ask yourself “is this how I would want to be treated?”

Act with integrity
set a high, honest, and consistent standard for your actions; ask yourself “would I want my action published in the newspaper?”
Promote autonomy
respect peoples’ autonomy by including them in decisions that concern them; if you are not clear that someone consents to your actions, you have a responsibility to ask them.
Do no harm
before any action, ask yourself “could this harm the Komari community?” This is a simple but effective check to remind you that the health of our community benefits us all and should be placed above any personal gain.
When you learn, understand, and internalize these principles, the specific rules should be obvious.

Social responsibility

Komari is committed to make a positive contribution to the society in which it operates. The main focus of Komari has always been to support sustainable development. Since its inception, CSR has been one of the focus areas of our company and we have been engaged in some crucial CSR initiatives to improve the quality of life of the society. Our CSR is primarily designed on the following five pillars;

Investing in our community
• Reducing barriers
• Developing our home community
• Preserving our community future and
• Living our values

Commitment to Human Rights

We conduct a periodic survey to identify, prevent and mitigate human rights violations that may relate to our business operations to fulfill our commitment to the global principles on business and human rights.

At Komari, we proactively prevent human rights violations or any attempts and attitudes contributing to human rights violations by stakeholders, including our suppliers and other business partners. If Komari recognizes that we have caused or contributed to such transgression, we will take progressive action.

We believe that the voices of affected stakeholders are crucial for us to identify actual or potential stakeholders who may be impacted by our business activities and to develop appropriate responses to address such impacts. We will engage with relevant stakeholders in a timely manner to understand the human rights issues relevant to our business and consider it from their viewpoint while conducting our business.
